Setting preferred domain name

With help from the , Websites can no set if they would prefer their domain to be included with or without the www. prefix.

And here is how to do this:

First sign up for the program, which requires an Google Account and either access to the server’s root directory or HTML code for validating purposes. Then follow the instructions to validate ownership over the Website(s) in question.

After validating ownership go to the Diagnostic tab and select Preferred domain under Tools. Select which domain version that is preferred and save the preference.
