Engage blog visitors to leave comments

Words by Daniel Aleksandersen on 2007-02-14

Here is a few tips that should help getting more comments on your blog entries:

  • Make sure your comment form is accessible and real easy to locate and to understand.
  • Do not clutter it with advertisement. (far too many do this mistake)
  • Never end a blog entry with a absolute statement. Leave the topic open…
  • Maybe even trough out an open question for the masses!
  • Address issues from multiple views. This way you avoid most fanboy comments and you leave multiple gaps (make sure not to bee shallow, though!) open so other can contribute with more relevant information. (basically: let them feel smart)
