I dislike seeing abbreviations actually spelled out in web articles. I think web authors should use the abbr tag instead. It will make texts easier to read and still provide aid to those not familiar with the abbreviation!

Bloggers: larger fonts, please!

Please, fellow bloggers! Use larger font sizes! Over half of the blogs I visit continuously, and most of the blogs I just drop by uses way to tiny font sizes!
Here is a good rule: Never use a font size smaller than 0.85 em, and preferably use 1 em. It is really bad usability to use small font sizes.

Firefox 3 and brings Microformats closer to the masses

Pointers are Firefox 3’s implementation of Microformats. Pointers will detect Microformats on web pages, and change the mouse cursor to indicate an application that can handle the specific Microformat.
For instance the cursor might change to KAddressBook’s icon when hovering over an hCard.
