Bloggers: larger fonts, please!

Words by Daniel Aleksandersen on 2007-06-13

Please, fellow bloggers! Use larger font sizes! Over half of the blogs I visit continuously, and most of the blogs I just drop by uses way to tiny font sizes!

Here is a good rule: Never use a font size smaller than 0.85 em, and preferably use 1 em. It is really bad usability to use small font sizes.

My blog was guilty of this, as you pointed out a couple of weeks ago. The comments on my posts were in a tiny font that was barely legible.

Thanks for pointing it out Daniel. I've now fixed it, and spruced up the comments section at the same time. It looks much better!

That I have changed one website does make all the difference in the world, Brian. Thanks for following up on my comment and for the comment.

(But I still think your text-size is too small.)
