Great Entertainment for the Whole Family
Posted on 09. Mar, 2010 by search_junkie.
My wife LOVES Country music, me…. not so much. But I LOVE her, so I have been trying to think of ways to accommodate her likes. I mean she goes to tons of baseball games with me and she doesn’t even like baseball. Our kids love motocross and monster trucks too. So I was driving down the freeway the other day and I saw a billboard for the PBR Bull Riding Tour. I noticed that it was going to be at one of the local Indian Casinos.
Now that would be fun for the whole family! I’ll bet the kids love it because of all the action and the animals. My wife would like it too, because of the all the country music and cowboys. LOL. Now this is not an event that I would ever have thought of going to on my own. But I think that rodeo would be an awesome event. I think it would be even better if we were able to go to one on Texas. I’m sure that there is nothing like a Rodeo in Houston. In fact I’ll bet that Houston Rodeo Tickets are some of the hottest tickets in town.
I guess for now we’ll have to consider California Rodeos, but I still think that it will be a blast!

Real Estate Bailout – 2010 Homebuyer Tax Credit Extended
Posted on 09. Feb, 2010 by search_junkie.
Thanks to the recent Real Estate Bailout first-time homebuyers, or those who have not owned in the last three years, can receive up to an $8,000 tax credit. This is fantastic news, especially for those looking to buy a house soon like me! I was so pleased to find out about this.
Here is a video that I found on YouTube about it:
This is helpful in so many ways. Often times new homebuyers have many things that they need to fix or improve in a new home. There are not that many “turnkey” properties out there really. An extra $8000 to help out with mortgage payments is another possible use for the tax credit.
Many first time home buyers struggle with their bills. I think that the idea here is that it will help people not fall into foreclosure.
Some important notes are that this program is currently only good up to April 30th 2010. Although there is speculation that this program could be extended as part of an over all economic stimulus initiative. You can close by June 30th 2010 at the latest and still qualify for this as long as a written binding contract to purchase is in place by the April deadline.

Experienced Advice on Moving
Posted on 04. Dec, 2009 by search_junkie.
It is important to book your moving services well ahead to secure your ideal moving date.
Important documents and possessions, such as wills, deeds, jewelry, photographs and home videos are impossible to replace. It’s wise to consider moving these and other important belongings to a safety deposit box while you move.
Remember to contact your local post office and fill-out forwarding address forms. Additionally, leaving a small welcome card with your forwarding address for the people moving into your old home is a nice way of asking for any additional pieces of your mail to be redirected.
Do not have your phone disconnected until after loading day.
DON’T polish your furniture! This makes the furniture slippery for the movers or yourself, also when we wrap pads around the furniture it can leave marks on the furniture where the pad was placed, do to buildup of cleaning residue!
Reserve ample parking for the truck. If parking is to be on a city street, it is your obligation to tell the movers of any meters that need to be capped by the city. In the winter, be sure to have the parking area and walkways clear of snow and ice.
Prepare an “Unload First” carton with essentials that you’ll need immediately at your new home (Essential Items). Include a bag filled with hardware from disassembled items, such as dresser mirrors and beds. Good Moving Companies Los Angele will recognize this and take extra care.
Try to keep boxes to 50 pounds or less and always lift with your legs. Tape the bottom of all boxes to make certain they will hold your belongings.
Pack books flat, not standing on end (which may cause damage to the spines). Books are extremely heavy, so don’t pack too many in one box.
Items that can’t be moved with us include: flammable items, combustible items, aerosol cans, hazardous materials (Items that are flammable, corrosive or explosive)

How I Got Through College
Posted on 03. Dec, 2009 by search_junkie.
Getting through college was exceptionally difficult for me. My family had no money and I was not super motivated to do well in school after I finished high school. After working many different jobs, scraping by to make the bills and put a roof over my head, I finally wised up and figured out that if I ever wanted to go anywhere with my life that I had to get an education.
At this point I started applying for student loans, as well as financial aid. I was fortunate enough to get the maximum award for both. But that was still not enough. I was not able to work full time AND attend school full time. So I decided to apply for private student loans to help me with bills like gas, car insurance, and rent. Thankfully I was able to get enough loans to pay my bills so that I could focus my attention on school. Once I did this my grades excelled and I eventually won a bunch of scholarships!
If you are having financial trouble while working towards your degree then student loans are the way to go. And remember that there are not just federal and state loans, but there are also a number of good private student loans with great rates available for you.

Track Your Marketing Initiatives Using Call Tracking
Posted on 27. Oct, 2009 by search_junkie.
It is such a shame these days that businesses, especially local businesses, are spending money on marketing blindly. They are not getting the data necessary to back up their decisions. Tracking you marketing initiatives has never been easier than it is today.Simply using a call tracking number is one of the best ways to measure the success of certain marketing initiatives.
I found this outstanding Call Tracking Video to help illustrate the point:
Get the point?
Call Fire offers some other great calling related services such as Voice Broadcast which is basically an email/newsletter marketing campaign but done over the phone. You record your message and enter your list of numbers to blast it out to and Call Fire does the rest! Pretty awesome, I never knew that this was something that people could do. They also offer Virtual Call Centers which I am not too familiar with but I am sure if you were in the business you would understand.
I love their site because it has great visuals that explain things. That is a fantastic example of how to use media to tell your story so take note! And don’t forget to use call tracking so that you can know what is making you the most money and allocate more resources to those things.
